WHAT WE LIKE
WELCOME TO THE STYLE GUIDE
(AND WHAT WE DON'T LIKE)
HERE'S
THE THING.
In order to keep the integrity and reliability of Dupe, we have to have some parameters around which photos get approved for the site. In this guide we walk through the kinds of things we are looking for, the kinds of things we are not, and overall guides to make sure the photos you want on Dupe fit right in and feel right at home.
WHAT
WE ARE LOOKING
FOR IN
PHOTOS.
The secret sauce to getting
your photos approved.
Dupe holds itself and its users to a pretty high standard (#knowyourworth 💅💅🏽💅🏻) and in order to maintain it, we work diligently to ensure that each photo that is approved aligns with our three pillars of quality. We established these pillars based on the needs Dupe originally set out to meet in this industry. No scary, secret algorithms here - it's simple - align with the pillars and you're in.
OUR QUALITY PILLARS
Is the photo that you are uploading
your own? We want to see the world through our users eyes and that can’t happen if a photo isn’t coming directly from that user. We want to celebrate people for their talent and will never support taking credit for work that isn’t your own. It’s just NEVER going to be the vibe.
At the end of the day we are a service
built on aesthetic, and we have to honor that. We are looking for photos that celebrate creativity on the best day and in the everyday. Your photo doesn’t have to fit into an aesthetic on our site, it just has
to show an understanding in effective and beautiful visual communication.
Be it peace or party, tough or tasteful
we are looking for photos that can come
along stories. Building a meaningful brand and presence on a digital platform has
many challenges but finding great imagery to support that message shouldn’t
be one of them.
